SUITE EATS
HABITAS TULUM , MEXICO
Favourite restaurants in Tulum always seems to have Hartwood at the top of the list, which we do love although have discovered a new kid on the block, where every dish was better than the last. Habitas Tulum opened in 2022, so we went along for a secret look around. We followed 2 mongoose through the narrow, lantern-lit sandy paths until we reached tables scattered around the sand, all set in candle light (as Tulum used to be the first time we ever went). We ate local, listened to the sea and didn’t want it to end.
WHY?
The best octopus we ever tasted. Worth the trip for that alone!
WHAT THE WORLD SAID
Chef Frederico Cappi makes hearty-yet-healthy dishes like wood-fired salmon with pickled cabbage and chicken tagine, alongside local classics like grilled plantains and fish tacos. The cocktails are pretty good too.
“It’s a very specific cool vibe: the kind of people who stay out dancing until 3 a.m. and then wake up to do an hour of yoga every morning. Lots of stylishly drape-y clothing, tattoos written in a variety of languages, and deep tans.”
Conde Nast Traveller.
Stop by and enjoy the yummy food, great music and cocktails or immerse yourself and grab yourself one of their posh tents for the night.
